Samir joined Altpoint’s Finance team in 2017 after spending 20 years in the alternative investment industry. At Altpoint, Samir applies his significant experience with complex operational issues to his passion for engaging with entrepreneurs and business operators to seamlessly develop visionary business plans into operational realities.
His career path includes managing financial and operational responsibilities for private equity and debt funds for Veronis Suhler Stevenson, a $3 Billion private equity firm. At VSS, he provided investment support and was integral to its capital raising efforts.
Samir’s desire to actively guide companies in their growth was realized when he founded his CFO consulting practice to mentor and support small businesses. He eventually joined a fund administrator, Gen II Fund Services, as the head of its Debt Fund practice and led the group from inception to $10 Billion of assets under administration. In this role, Samir also worked with senior leadership teams of both established and newly launched private equity firms to support operations and provide strategic financial input on key decisions.
When he is not in the office, Samir enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid traveler and actively practices mindfulness and balanced living.
Samir obtained his BS in Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of AICPA.
