Aces is a social messaging app. We have a fresh take on the way users share content, and what it means to communicate visually. Aces features a fast, fun, and interactive experience for users to share, discover, and react to cool and interesting (and sometimes secret!) content. We’re about to launch and looking to grow our team!

Aces is seeking a Head of Content Strategy to foster and grow a user community centered around content sharing. This position is based in a great, light-filled office in Manhattan (Flatiron). You will work closely with the product, engineering, and design teams. The ability to own, drive, and balance long-term planning and short-term execution with minimal supervision is critical. You should consider yourself a solid communicator who is comfortable brainstorming creative strategies as well as analyzing data and metrics. The Head of Content Strategy will be expected to identify, engage, and build relationships with key user groups; develop content-based user acquisition strategies; highlight key value propositions; establish relationships with early partners; and shape the brand voice and tone. This is a highly entrepreneurial opportunity with tremendous autonomy and upside. You should have the ability to multitask on a number of different projects and be excited about fully understanding the end user. Experience in the social media and/or messaging space is preferred but not required. An interest in online cultural and behavioral tends (especially overlapping with Gen Z and Millennial interests) is a big plus!

• Shape and guide the content roadmap and early editorial strategy of the Aces platform 
• Refine and support the brand tone, voice, and messaging through curation and editorial decisions
• Lead content development to design unique digital media experiences based on user needs, market gaps, competitive analysis, experience, and data
• Grow strong, loyal, and engaged audiences based on common interests relevant to the Aces target audience(s)
• Blend content goals with loyalty programs and user acquisition strategies
• Drive early adoption through effective partner strategies (including influencers and brands) 
• Establish systems and processes to scale content production, aggregation, and curation
• Regularly research industry trends and user needs while expanding our network and identifying opportunity areas
• Communicate the Aces value proposition(s) to achieve product-market fit based on research, user feedback, and testing
• Identify and target prospective user groups to maximize user sign-up and adoption
• Track, analyze, and react to KPIs/ metrics for platform enhancements
• Establish strategies and tracking mechanisms for incentive programs and promotions
• Lead market research and analysis as well as usage reporting and analytics
• Track, analyze, and react to KPI metrics for platform enhancement

• Fiercely advocate for existing and prospective end users
• Brainstorm (as creatively as you’d like!) growth strategies leveraging content and audience development tactic


• 5+ years relevant work experience (bonus points for social media and/or messaging; even more bonus points for building a content platform from scratch)
• Portfolio of content experience showcasing editorial skills and direction
• Proven success in a fast-paced, fluid work environment and the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing and highly competitive industry
• Demonstrated experience developing content and creative strategies when launching new products or features
• Stellar written and verbal communication skills including the ability to tailor pitches to end users as well as senior management teams
• Proven results from creative, out-of-the box thinking when it comes to audience growth
• Understanding of best practices when it comes to building communities and creating engaging user experiences
• A love of problem solving and experimentation with a strong attention to detail
• Early adopter and innovative thinker with a strong network in the digital media space
• Interest and passion for social media and youth culture is highly desired
